Artmu Laptop Sleeve converts to MousePad

artmu-sleeve

Laptop sleeves really only have one function and that’s to protect your laptop from minor scrapes and bumps. They just keep things padded on the off chance that you accidentally knock it into a wall or anything equally clumsy. Beyond that, they just don’t do a whole lot. Well this new sleeve makes an attempt to give your laptop case a little more function. Instead of just tossing the case aside when you’re using your laptop, you could use it. This Aving case unzips and opens up so that one side of it can be used as a mouse pad.

Of course it’s rare that most people would think they’d need a mouse pad. Most of us have switched to an optical mouse and haven’t used a mouse with a ball in it for quite some time. However, we’ve all had those moments when our mouse does not want to work on the surface we need it to. Such as something that’s a little too reflective or has too much texture. In those cases you would have this case handy and not have to worry about it. You can purchase the cases in varying sizes and colors, the prices start out at $15.

New Flash Light WristWatch

flashlightMost of us wear a watch on our wrists, but how many of those actually illuminate at night so that you can tell the time at a glance? This isn’t exactly an essential feature but a nice one to have, although many more people now rely on their cellphones to tell the time while using the screen’s bright light to double up as an imprompty flashlight in the process. Enter the Flashlight Wristwatch that merges both devices into a single model.

This is the wristwatch that has three LEDs in its face that provide bright illumination or a soft, ambient glow. The LEDs are located at the Noon, four, and eight positions on the watch; the first press of the button causes the LEDs to generate soft blue light that illuminates the watch’s face–ideal for reading a theater program–and the second press generates bright white light. A third press of the button shuts off all LEDs. The white LEDs can illuminate subjects up to 10′ away, ideal for finding keys and opening a door at night. The rechargeable watch uses electromagnetic quartz movement for precise timekeeping for up to three months on an eight-hour charge from the included charging stand. The hands and markers are luminescent. The solid stainless steel case and mineral crystal dome provide a sealed environment that is water-resistant down to 165′.

If dad is in need of a new watch this coming Father’s Day, have you considered the $149.95 Flashlight Wristwatch? After all, Internet shopping helps relieve you of driving down to the store and jostling for your place in line with the rest of the commoners.

BaseBall with built-in Radar Gun

baseball-radar-gun

Isn’t it time you got out to your lawn and start pitching some balls to your kid to spend some quality parent-child time? Why not do so with the Baseball with Built-in Radar Gun - this is one high-tech ball that will help you strive to do your best always since it comes with an integrated radar gun that is able to tell just how fast your last throw was, maxing out at 120mph. Of course, if you happen to throw past that limit regularly, we’d strongly suggest you go for your state team’s tryouts as any team would definitely be able to make do with another starter. One word of caution though - don’t bother hitting this ball with a bat, otherwise all of the electronics inside would screw up.

New ViewSonic Digital Frame

514ejspg6fl_sl500_aa280_Viewsonic has been putting out a lot of cool products lately, and one of their most recent is the VFD820-12, an 8-inch digital photo frame.

I had a chance to try out this product for myself, and I didn’t find it any different than the GiiNii 8-inch Multimedia Digital Picture Frame that I currently have on my wall.

The operation is very simple on both of these products: just insert your SD card or flash drive memory stick, turn it on, and you already have everything you need for a slideshow. I don’t have much experience with digital picture frames, but I am guessing this is standard operation procedure for any electronic frame these days. The VFD820-12 has an internal memory of 2G, so you should have quite enough room for many, many pictures.

The VFD820-12 also has a “clock and calendar to keep you on schedule”, but I found it difficult to set the time from the menu. The controllers aren’t as easy as the GiiNii one, as it has all the buttons in a row rather than bunched together in an instinctive, almost iPod formation.

Yeah, I should probably stop comparing the VFD820-12 with that one form GiiNii. However, the one from Viewsonic has one very cool feature, an included glass screen that gives it a classy look. You should be able to purchase this Viewsonic frame on Amazon for about $79.99 in Black and Espresso color.
